Big day for Smokey (and Vixen) today!

Smokey leaves this Saturday for his summer with trainer Olivia Van Beek for the Dakota Showdown Horse Trainer Challenge! This stocky boy got his vaccines and travel papers, his teeth floated, and his microchip. We also discovered a surprise - his 4.5 year old baby teeth are in process of falling out and his adult teeth growing in -meaning this stocky boy is likely 2 full years younger than anyone thought!

 

This boy is just shy of 14 hands and stocky. We suspect he is a Morgan and will be sending in some mane hair to AMHA to run a parentage test. He is a very good boy who still needs to work on confidence so we are really excited to see how he does this summer in training! Keep an eye on this boy - he'll be looking for a home in August!

 

The vet bill for Vixen and Smokey was $515 today. Donations for their health care are greatly needed at
