Team Onyx June 3, 2025 - Update!

Week 5 with #dakotashowdownteamonyx

His leading has improved significantly over the last couple of days! He’s super good about understanding when he’s at the end of his rope, even when his anxiety kicks in.

 

With him now leading, I introduced sending around simple obstacles. He’s sensitive to pressure but doesn’t quite understand what I’m asking. But he does (for the most part) understand what backup means.

 

We also introduced the flag on the last day of this week. While he was very much scared of it, he didn’t pull the rope out of my hand once, so I’m super proud of him for that. The video of us working with the flag was in the middle of our session, so he improved more by the end of our session.

 

He’s also decided that scratched DO feel good. He just doesn’t show it on his face very well lol
