From trainer Beth Stahlecker:
Well, that happened. We've been working on the trailer (kinda a no go at this point, not scared but the motivation to get on is not high enough
) but decided to try something different over the weekend. He's had a bareback pad cinched on him and the pad but hadn't seen a saddle yet. Tacking him up was literally a non-event (as it should be!). Sent him off a little to see if he wanted to buck and showed no desire to. He's not a fan of lunging- or being sent away with energy) but had no concerns about the saddle. No concern about me standing above him and then no concern about me laying a bit on the saddle.

I think once this guy gets to know and trust you, there isn't anything he won't do! (Um, except get all the way on the trailer... yet!)
