The first of FOUR amazing Rising Star teams was united today. Yearling Wren, who was a skinny auction save at just about 4-5 months old, has grown into a loving and sweet girl. The youngest horse is matched with our youngest competitor this year, Tina Javers who is just 13 years old, and we are really excited to see how they do. Tina is a naturally talented rider who has an amazing, supportive family, and we hope they have a lot of fun teaching Wren all sorts of new things. Outside of horses, Tina likes track and volleyball.
When they set up a page, we'll be sure and share it so you can follow along! Wren is going to be a smaller horse, but has the personality to grow into a nice kid's or driving horse when she gets older.
Over the next four months, Wren and Tina will train together as part of the Dakota Showdown Horse Trainer Challenge. Wren will be available for adoption at the Finale on August 23, 2026 in Lennox, SD.
