From trainer Shaylin Lathrop:
Forrest is coming along great! With my super busy schedule, he has exceeded my expectations for him. Technically speaking I have worked with him for 8 full 24 hour days spread out over the last month. He is teaching me patience while I teach him things aren't as scary as they seem (milk jugs, tarps, fly masks, ect.). He is partially loading into the trailer without me tugging on him, accepting a halter being put on and taken off, and absolutely LOVES attention and scratches! He had a thing against his ears being touched but we got over that and shortly after, I was able to put the halter on. He is very interested in my son and gives Axil his undivided attention each and everytime Axil comes around and I appreciate that from him.
Sometimes when I'm with Forrest, I don't even feel like I'm around a mustang anymore lol. I am approaching and brushing him like I would any other horse. I am proud of Forrest!!
